*by "Muir," I mean the snowfield, not the camp, objective, or destination, not that there's really a difference, right? ;)
On Thursday, the great
And a robust, multi-faceted dark ale that packs a punch greater even than beer found in a Wasatch gas station:

In case you're wondering, that beer is called "Pabst Blue Ribbon-- Light." You may have heard of it. It's kind of a big deal.
Note for AA and all other afficionados de precision in mountain statistics: We made it, at our highest, to *exactly* to wherever the f** this photo is, after some zig-zagging and 0-vis lapping:

Snow was still good (soft, smooth, & corny) ~8.5k'--> pebble creek. Kevin skied the whole thing switch, and naked, of course:

We had some fun using "marker-rocks" to help us navigate. "Marker-rocks" are an ideal alternative to wands, as they are much more weight efficient:

We experienced so much stoke lower down that we chose not to venture high enough to break out of the clouds.

Thank goodness, too, since a lone hiker reported that sunshine and pow were to be found in the last 1000' to Camp Muir proper.
I think at one point I said that the only thing that could make the day better would be some wind, rain, and a return to the car after dark. Ullr delivered shortly thereafter upon the first two of these requests, which was nice.

In all seriousness, for those curious about conditions...
I'd wager that after one more big snow event and we could be skiing continuously(ish) with some fall colors all around, to boot! Yay!
@Amar, maybe one day, we'll make it all the way to Muir. When we do, we'll send you a photo.
...and maybe that photo will include a newspaper. ;)
