After getting to Camp Muir at around 4:40 pm, I decided that I wanted to wait until the snow started to show signs of refreezing. I ended up beginning my descent at 5:31 pm and the wait paid off. On my second, shorter, lap, the snow got even better. It was around 1800 hundred vertical feet before the first carry. The carry was about a 5 minute walk. Then, you get another 550 to 600 vertical feet before it's all said and done. Overall, conditions were probably the smoothest I have ever seen despite the intermittent dirty snow patches.

Thanks for sharing, snow looks mighty good up there for September. Gonna try and hit it on Sunday after a few new flakes roll in

Excellent vid! I knew Muir was getting a bit of a refresh but damn that exceeded my expectations! I'm hoping this next system really hits it hard. Crevasse's around 9k, was that skiers right or left (or both)? Looks like your line on the right was pretty nice.

Thanks for the nice TR, I'm headed up Monday. I'm hoping to use more skins and less shoes than August.

The crevasses on the main path going up were starting to get filled in, but felt more safe getting on my skis to cross them. On the way down, I saw what looked like rope on my right side at about 9k to warn others of what may have been a crevasse. I did not bother to check it out as I wanted to make sure I followed the set of ski tracks and avoid any potential issues.

Man of the tuck! Thanks for sharing, Donnelly! Love your speed runs.
I can't believe you ski that fast without armoring up. I don't ski as fast as you, but if I was going to, I'd be wearing thick sleeves, gloves and pants at least!

Read: "I did not check it out because I was going 60 freaking miles per hour"  ;D
