Anyone have an old Megaride or other similar Garmont boot kicking around.  I need the cuff pivot bolt assembly.    Any size.  See picture.

That's a pretty easy repair using regular hardware store parts. I fixed my old Garmont Synrgy using a T-nut, washer, and flathead allen bolt, similar to this technique . The T-nut has teeth, that grip the plastic inside so it doesn't loosen. I just dremeled a little off the teeth so it didn't go too deep into the plastic.

I had the exact problem years ago, Lowes should have a connector for this but you may need to shorten it slightly since the post will be be to long.

Thanks guys.  Being a life long DIYer I came up with the same idea before I even posted.  After a few days with no offers I went to that plan where I realized my broken piece was a standard boot cuff rivet, not the cant mechnism so no need for a donor boot.  The fix you and Wildsnow outlined was a no brainer with stuff I had in my shop.  I'm back in business and already have a day on them with no problem.

A couple things I'll add is that I put a drop of locktite on the panhead screw threads so it doesn't back out. I also filed off most but not all of the teeth on the Tee nut.  I then put a longer bolt into the nut and heated it slightly with a torch, enough to melt the stubby teeth into the plastic of the shell, but careful not to melt any of the shell plastic or hinge hole.  It worked fine.

I'll probably make up a second set for the other boot and stash it in my repair kit.  I might grind off the T-nut teeth completely (you can buy them this way too) and include a few lock washers.
