One of the avalanches coincidentally occurred during an avalanche course. Hors ! Piste Avalanche is a sign they use, which translates off ski-run, avalanche. Most of you probably know it's a lot different over there, in regards to skiing beyond the resort. I read earlier this season (at Tignes), that they said you can be liable for causing an avalanche/ injuries and so forth.

I think the same applies today, no one else but you can tell you not to go. Similar to the extreme skiing over there in the 80's. Those guys were very dialed into the conditions. If it wasn't safe, they waited for the right time. The DVD Steep is a good show.
