Five snowboarders killed in CO

Lots of news about this on the mainstream news. Very sad news for the snowboard/backcountry community in CO.

It's a tragic loss for the Splitboarding community as for all backcountry users. Sadly it took place during a Splitboard festival.

My heart goes out to the friends, families and everyone who experienced or are effected by the event.

They were ascending up sheep creek which has notorious reputation. Losing 5 BC travelers is horrific for a small community. Heartfelt sympathy to those involved. Lots of chat on TGR slide forum.

Ugh... that's awful. My thoughts are with the community, that's a huge loss.

Time to re-consider the "Considerable" rating...

An interesting notion I've read about & discussion I've taken part in the past week.  I started another thread in this room with some of my thoughts and questions about it in the hope that threads like this could stay focused on the subject, and specifically allow condolence/mourning/vibes.

My thoughts and love are on the wind for those involved, and my friends personally affected by this.
