These photos were taken at a popular backcountry location in Washington in the late afternoon of Saturday March 24. After a week of significant snowfall the air temperature was rapidly rising and the solar effect on the snowpack was creating unstable conditions.
These photos are an example of how not to travel in avalanche terrain.
