The deep snow pack and cold spring has me thinking about a Southern Oregon volcano tour including Bailey, Thielson, Scott, Diamond, and McLoughlin.  A few questions for those in know

1) What's people's experience in Mid June?  I feel like this is late, but the snow pack is 280% of average at Diamond Lake currently.
2) How are the mosquitoes?
3) Any beta on routes would be much appreciated.
4) Other objectives besides the ones I've listed?

Of these I've only been on McLaughlin (twice). A beautiful moderate route with a straightforward route finding from a car but some whacking could be encountered down below on the descent. I've never been so late in the season so can't tell if you'll have snow right from the car. Let me know if you have specific questions about the route.

Thanks,

Boris

Boris, Thanks for the response.  I'll take whatever route finding suggestions you have.  I also booked a campsite at Doe Pt.  Would you recommend another campground/campsite or is Doe pt good to go?

I never camped never TH so can't help here much. The best I can do is to share the gpx of our route. We went counterclockwise. On the descent descent the terrain pushes you skiers right. We didn't fight it too much and ended up with a few minutes of road walk. Beware that there are small lava flows/ridges down low that melt early. They are too small to see on the map but they are a little tedious to go over. Nothing major though, just some    thing that I remembered.
