I was up there yesterday. I brought skis along, but they didn't leave the car. In my opinion it looked like too much hiking for short pitches.
If I had to choose something over there it would be the snowdome or the newton clark down into NF cold springs creek. There is a ribbon all the way down to maybe 5k in that drainage.
