Skiing in the Enchantments Core?

Bumping this up as I'm a lucky bastard and get to go again this year. 4th of July weekend. Snowpack looks deep up in the core still. Honestly ski touring through it might be the best way to go. Unfortunately not all of the group tour so not really in the cards.

With all the snow up there though it would be a shame to not ski. But I swore after my "adventure" last year I wasn't gonna be hiking skis out again due to extreme tail banging. Anyone have a pair of short skis/snow blades/Lowell's "figl" skis I could borrow in exchange for a pack of beer of your choice?
