The Patrol Race - the “Grand Traverse” of the North Cascades was created by nsteere
If anyone is looking for a racing opportunity, the registration lottery for the Patrol Race is open through the end of December. This is THE backcountry ski touring race in the Pacific Northwest with historic roots back to 1930, and with its relaunch in 2014 it remains the oldest continuing ski touring race in the PNW. It has similarities to the well known “Grand Traverse” in Colorado on a smaller scale, and set right here in the North Cascades of Washington running between Snoqualmie Pass and Stampede Pass. We are looking to create a competitive Elite division this year so find a couple friends with proper skimo gear and get registered!For more information on the race and how to register see links below:
