FREE Mt Hood Backcountry Guide.

I don't feel anyone is being whiny. I can't speak for everyone, but I got into BC skiing nearly 20 years ago to enjoy the solitude and to get away from the crowds at the ski area. From my experience, the TAY community and to some extent the BC community at large, are mostly followers. Personally, I don't have a problem with a general guide, but is a map to every location really necessary?

it's essentially the only thing that's necessary. The alternative is to accept endless filthy riches, blood-turns if you will, from an app/guidebook publisher or a total inability to look at a sat image that shows area which aren't treed/sparsely treed, all 15 of them that are reasonably accessible around hood.

i for one hope this map does not evolve.
