TAY pages are slow to load

I've noticed for the past couple weeks or so that TAY pages have been unusually slow to load.

On my Windows machine, TAY pages paint reasonably fast (and I can read them), but I see that my cursor is in a "working" state for a considerable time, and during most of that time my status bar says "Connecting to counter.dreamhost.com..." or "Transferring data from www.turns-all-year.com ..."

On a mobile device (for example an iPhone), I can't see the page at all until all actions are complete. This can take over a minute. On my phone, the problem seems to be worst when I initially connect to TAY, but it's almost negligible as I drill down to lower level pages.

Has anyone else seen something like this?

On my phone I figured out that if you just touch the screen (while waiting for the next action) anyplace not clickable, it will load almost immediately.
