So has the ski area given the all-clear for uphill travel at Alpental now that they're closed for the season (i.e. no work on the hill going on that would make then nervous about skinners out and about)? Sorry if I missed the notice elsewhere...

Official Notice - Good to go for spring touring season at Alpental.  We truly appreciate those who have respected the winter season uphill travel restrictions.  Thought I'd take a knee and wait a day to announce but I should have known better.  Thanks to ALL for a GREAT season, it was a fantastic Mayday and it was a good group that turned out.  As mentioned Cinco will be under human power this year.   Also note that we have a number of hill projects besides teardown that will keep us around while the snow remains so please use the usual good sense and avoid all our equipment, facilities, and remember that lifts may start without warning.  Also the gate at Lot 1 has been reinstalled and will be closed and locked daily, sometimes much earlier than you might anticipate.  Cheers - Gib
