While not specifically backcountry skiing, I figured a lot of folks on the forum would be interested in checking-out an event being put on by the Mount Tahoma Trails Association next month. For those of you who don't know, MTTA is a volunteer organization that has a series of huts(and one yurt) on a trail system located outside of Ashford, Washington. Below is a description and link to the website with more info:
MTTA Tour de Huts
Saturday, February 27th, 9AM-3PM
Mt Tahoma Trails Association, South District Trailhead.
A fun, family friendly event showcasing the huts of the South District of the Mount Tahoma Trails Association. Come snowshoe or ski to one, two, or three of the huts with: a passport book to track your progress, snacks at the huts, and patrollers on the trails to ensure your safety and answer your questions.
