Runnel beta?

I slogged the easton glacier on June 21 sans skis. I observed much runnellage. It seemed quite unskiable. I'm wondering if the entire north cascades has runnels like this. It did seem like it was only below 8000 feet, and above that it must have been snowing instead of whatever rain formed this nastiness.

Skied some of that stuff yesterday on the Boulder-Park side. It is skiable, but not as nice as the smooth corn that we found up high. Better than the suncups on the Paradise glacier.

Ski season approaches its end.
