hoping to find some info on driving into skiing on some high elevation logging roads.
Going to be up at whistler for a week starting Friday and would be willing to invest some
Time into driving to find snow. Have big truck and chainsaw...

I don't think there are any high elevation roads that access close to any of the ice caps. Let me know if you find one!
Your best bets, lowest suffer factors, and least damage to truck right now may be the hurley or b-wine meadows. last 3k of b-wine needs high clearance and short approach angles.
also saw a TR off of east duffey with drive to snow status. lots of high elevation roads over there!

Looks like I can drive up to 4500' at railroad or Hurley pass. The road sounds like it just opened so I could be in luck in that area. Thanks for that clue!

If you don't have it already, the BC Backroads map books are GREAT for this kind of thing:

.
Available at your finer, and most less fine, petrol bars.

Thanks all. I'm getting a real good idea of the potentially available areas. I think I have that mapbook already up there and I'd like to find that book. That hut looks like a good option, but it is sure a long way on a fS road. If I end up making a trek or two I'll be sure to post pictures.
