backcountry ski events/racing in washington

Hi everyone.

I am realizing that whether it is climbing or running or mountain biking or skiing I get more motivated(read in shape) if I have an objective/race to work towards. With that in mind I'm wondering if anyone knows of ski events in Washington that involve both skinning and skiing. Tele is a plus but not needed. I am very much an amateur. I know of similar events in Colorado but it would be nice to know what is in WA. The net contains a lot on dedicated downhill ski races and true cross country skiing, but neither is exactly what I am looking for.
