It would be interesting to see just how much rainfall has taken place in the mountains since October 7th, when it first turned wet. Martin Ridge, for e.g., has had 7" since October 27th and totals 27" for the rainy season (don't know when that started as I can't find access to data older than October 27th (one week). Jefferson Creek, SE Olympics shows 43" for the rainy season.

You might want to try the Snotel website. It has precipitation totals over time for dozens of locations in the state.

The following very long address will get you to a map of the sites, and you can drill down from there:

It depends on what you are looking for exactly, but NOAA hosts a boatload of data at the National Climatic Data Center ( www.ncdc.noaa.gov/ ) - probably your best bet for NWS data.

MesoWest at the U. of Utah ( mesowest.utah.edu/ ) also has a large database (including archived data from NWAC sites).

Now this is interesting. I can type and post, like this. But if I copy and paste the entire post or part of it the whole post disappears. Also it gave me a message that I could not post. And at another time after logging in it wouldn't accept my log-in.

I've told Marcus about similar problems and he (or his software expert) is looking into them. It's a problem with the site software, apparently, that has been around for several days now.

Clearing your cookies for the site will fix that problem. I don't know exaclty what's wrong, but the value of the cookie the site stores in your browser's cookie jar when you log-in doesn't match with what the site expects when you return.

Here are instructions on how to do that for Chrome , Firefox , Internet Explorer and Safari ( OS X Mountain Lion (6), OS X Mavericks (7))
