Dang it...

I forgot to mention that there are only a very few nominations for the Core Award. If you know of someone that is truly worthy of the award and the prizes that accompany it ( a six pack of PBR, a Burrito, and two P-tex sticks, one black, one white), PLEASE send me their nomination.

In addition to the great speakers, intriguing booths, and awesome raffle, we're giving AvyStickers, a new experimental avalanche awareness tool, to the first 200 people to arrive at NSAW! Get tickets and get there early for a good shot at the very finest in low-tech stick-your-plan-to-your-ski technology.

You can learn more about 'em at AvySticker.com !

Thank you, MJ, for the opportunity, and thank you all, in advance, for the feedback!

I'm looking forward to NSAW again this year.

I hope the community can find a way express its gratitude to Michael Jackson for all his work creating this event. I understand that this will be his last year leading the effort.

MJ has allowed me to set up a table at NSAW for the Washington State Ski and Snowboard Museum (WSSSM). If you see a guy who appears to be hawking gear from the wrong century, that would be me.

I'm working on the museum's backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering exhibit. I'd like to showcase our local history from the 1920s right up to the present.

I've already dug up a lot of old material, but I'd like to connect with active skiers, photographers and videographers to gather content that shows how lucky we are to ski in Washington today.

I'll be manning a table between sessions and during lunch. I hope you'll stop by to chat.

Lowell,

Thank-you for the kind words.

I have two old transceivers I would like to see entered in the WSSSM. One is a first generation Pieps and the other a first generation Skadi. Also, if you need authentic vintage ski's and clothing, contact Steve Barnett: that is what he is still using, Hah!
