I was up on Saturday along with just about everyone else. Consistant skinning within a 1/2 mile of the TH. The road is clear almost to the campground and the parking was quite a zoo. Lots of traffic all through the night and people parking just about anwhere. We were blocked in by a car while on the mountain and had to do a forty point turn to barely get out of our parking spot. I considered giving the prick a parking ticket consisting of a rock through the windshield.

The skiing was fantastic from Pikers at 1200. It was my first time up there and it was a complete treat of a ski. We met a guy who was running support for his friend who was attempting to climb Hood, Adams, and Helens within 24 hours. We were cheering him on and are curious if he made it.

It was prime for the taking and the weather was perfect.

Awesome, thank you very much. Sounds like it should be good for another week or two. Yes, the most important things I learned last year were: (i) bring ear plugs and (ii) plan your parking spot very, very carefully. The latter both so you can get out and so you don't get run over in your sleeping bag.

Cold Springs was quite the $hit show. We camped at Morrison Springs and drove up in the morning and had a hard time finding a spot. Skiing conditions were pretty ideal in the SW Chutes around 2. Deep mush below by the time we skied it. After we got back and got the boots off and cracked open beers, a large diesel pickup decided to turn around near where we were parked and ended up crushing my helmet that was sitting off to the side of the road.
