The crew should wrap up hill teardown today so uphill restrictions are done for the season. The regulars certainly know that this in no way ensures a safe place to tour. Spring snowfall has really kept the wet/loose and even wet slab hazards substantially elevated. Plus many of the normal climax offenders are a bit behind schedule and still peeling off. Please help educate the unwary if you get the opportunity, it still worries me that quite a few folks seem to that think the cattrack is an appropriate climbing route but it's probably just about the worst choice 99% of the time. Also, please remember that we take advantage of the snowpack to move construction supplies up the hill this time of year so everyone still needs to stay away from the chairlifts top and bottom, and snowcats are still in use. Your route selection remains your best defense, other travellers are often on the snow well above and beyond what you can see. Thanks as always for the love and support we have enjoyed from touring community the last several seasons, the Alp Snow Safety dudes suffer from enough stress as it is - so every little bit helps / G

As always, thanks for the update and taking time to communicate with the touring public.
I concur with your concerns about people climbing via the cat track. Not only for avalanche danger but for spring rockfall as well.
I look forward to touring at Alpental!

For sure I had a great day there on quattro de Mayo and there are still many large cornices yet to drop. The amount of snow in International though is fantastic, and should be good for several weeks. Hard to know how fast the drop in will melt off though.

that's not the problem, usually walk in once the melt happens.
