Pretty cool idea, but it is also vandalism in a big way I have gathered from reading other postings of this same vid. Wire rope (cable) now requires inspection, and if needed, repairs to cut strands.

If those cables were damaged by a couple of ski edges then I'm never riding a lift again. According to the link the lift was scheduled for inspection anyway and he had permission. People just gotta whine about something.

There were a couple guys sailing at Hyak. Don't think they slid the cable though...

I just howled over that one. That was just too cool.....unbelievable.........love it.
