Summit West Spring Bash was created by BrianT
So last year after Summit West closed, we hit up the resort to do some 'BackCountry' skiing and touring there as it's easy, straight forward and close to home.
I was thinking this year, getting as many folks as we can, get a keg, bring out a grill, do burgers, hotdogs, etc... The goal would be to have fun while skiing as many laps as you can. (Can you beat Silas's 10k birthday vert?) To help offset some of the costs, perhaps a 10 dollar donation for the food/beer and if we have any left over we could donate it to nwac or some other charity.
We could have some silly contests like most vert during the event, fastest time to the top.
Would anyone have any interest in this?

I'll help build a jump so the splitboarders can get wild!
We did something similar over at Alpental many springs ago. Except our variant involved hauling a half-full keg up to a bare patch next to the top of St. Bernard, building a jump above it, grilling up sausages for lunch and then having an afternoon booter session. At some point it was suggested that we hit the thing beverage-in-hand, which led to my all-time favorite picture of the day:

I am interested, hope my doc clears me to ride by then. We'll see.
IMO, Alpental or Hyak might be better choices - but I'd go with West too, if that's what people prefer.
Love the pic w/ the beverage
Cheers
