I have a friend who is part of a Stevens Pass renegade cabin, first built about 15+ yrs ago until it was found by the forest service and destroyed. They then moved to a more secret location and has been safe since. I've never visited, but it looks cool.

Jackson Hole has a "wormhole" just off the top of Hobacks but was snuffed by the Patrol folks many years ago. KGB exhaust at times made the drop-in entrance more like a smokestack. Some good times were had until the Patrol caught wind of it
. So a little lean-to was built in a location you either were taken to or you were just wandering in the thick trees and found it. Fate of the Stevens shack wasn't as dramatic.... all materials had to be removed and the site restored. Just hadn't been around long enough to get grand-fathered in as a historical structure. But it was a hysterical one! And damn well built. Blowing the smoke shack must have left enough remnant sticks to craft something and keep the fire pit going for a winter. Things like this need a tight lipped clientele and be off the beaten path a tad bit.

At my home mtn., Mammoth. The gondie to the top used to be the spot to do what you wanted. That was in the 80's. There are, a couple rock formations that are like a temporary shelter. Pretty hard to explode those. Another option would be to build an igloo on the sides of a resort.
