Got the chance to demo a few of Deviation's skis this weekend. Deviation is a small, new ski company in Portland that builds all of its skis in house. The Mode is their do-all ski. They allow for effortless turning--great for skiing tight trees in the PNW.

I'll try to get a few more reviews of the other skis out soon.

Not yet...I talked to the folks at Deviation about weights. They are going to let me know. I will update this post and the review once I have that information. My guess is that the Modes come in around 8lbs per pair.

The Modes weigh in at 9.4 lbs per pair at 188cm...not a featherweight by any means, but within reason for a fat, downhill oriented ski.
