Is the new climate a fluid dynamic cycle that needs an inertia-start?
If the high pressures air columns (that were hopefully just dispelled), the ones which manifested over the western seaboard of the USA over the last 3 months are a result of climate change)….
If those air columns were the starting state of an inertial, self reinforcing new climate system, which has just yesterday lost the energy to remain…..
how much change in the climate, in which areas will be required to provide s sufficient ‘push’ to get this new climate inertial flywheel going??

Paper published in science links decreased orographic snow to decreased speed of the westerlies in the winter due to changing climate.

I reckon a protracted discussion is exactly what we all need.
I'm going to take my hangover & read a few papers. I want to know what causes those high pressures in the 1st place.
