BD tips - yes, I'm learning that a lot of people touring have BD poles. I'll definitely do BD compatible version - then it's simply screw your old baskets off and screw the Lift Basket on. We'll do that for for next season.

Have you tested these with any tele bindings? The NTN freedom heal risers are imple wire bails, but the small one fits inside the large one and is a pain to lift so these might be a good solution.
I'd also love to see these tested with Tele bindings (Voile Switch backs, and BD 01s), particularly the ones that have the small lifter on the inner step, and the longer on the tail side. The instep wire is tricky to access with a pole. My bindings aren't broken
I love your ideas.

I haven't tried them on the NTN bindings yet. A friend uses G3 Ascents but says the lifters are pretty easy to use on those anyhow. I'll look for someone at Baker this weekend on NTN Freedom and give them a go. Failing that I'll see if I find a pair in town to try them out on.

I'm 99% sure you will NOT find any NTN Freedom in any shops in B'ham and probably not Glacier Ski Shop either as they seem to believe NTN isn't tele. :
Do people actually use the low wire for touring? I just got rid of them because I never make guide-approved skin tracks anyways.

*edit* Maybe I'm an idiot, but Kickstarter is leaving me stuck on the "pledge" screen and won't process it. Thoughts on that? Never used KS before. Weird. Guess I'll try again later.
**edit** Figured it out - doesn't work well with Firefox, surprisingly. Worked with IE.

If I'm around I might stop by the back lot so you can try mine.

I use the low wire for 90% of my skintracks, the high is too high most of the time. I can get up the hill faster on a moderate angle track and hate the tippy-toes feel of a tall riser on a low angle track.

A friend who works at my office brought in her ski w' NTN and we tried it out this afternoon on the desk:
This was the 2nd try. I'm cautiously optimist. We're going to try them out at Tele-Tuesday on Cypress next week so I'll give a full report after that.
Enjoy the storm skiing this weekend!
