Mt. Catherine, Summit East

Hey if anyone checks out Mt. Catherine let me know! Looking to go there Sunday. Since the pass is actually getting snow.

Or anyone been out there lately?

No direct recent experience, but if you are looking to ski the glades up there, my experience has been that similar glades at that elevation at The Pass tend to start to become skiable (for me, and in a way that is fun versus just technical challenge involving too much obstacle avoidance), with some caution regarding downed trees etc., once the Snoqualmie Pass telemetry station (NOT the Alpental station which tends to have a bit more depth) reads around 50".

It was still snowing when I left for work at 6:30am this morning after about 14" new the past 24hrs. It is heavy, about has heavy as it gets. Should be better by this weekend when the temps are in the 20's.

The Snoqualmie WSDOT gauge is currently reading 40" www.nwac.us/data/OSOSNO
so watch out for creeks and logs.

I'd be leary of slopes between 3500-4200' snow is being easily triggered on the old hard snow and running pretty good in similar aspects the last two days

Ya looking like 14"- 16" so far prob top out at that.

How about commonwealth basin?

Looks like East is opening this Saturday. Im looking at a Sunday SUPERdawn patrol.
