Baker lift ski question - lift 5 out tomorrow

Ski area home page has this note:

"Tomorrow Mt. Baker will be in midweek operation out of the White Salmon Base Area, with chairs 3, 4, 7, & 8 open. Chair 5 will not be operating due to a gearbox component replacement."

I am planning to take my daughter skiing tomorrow (she's ten and doesn't generally ski uphill). If they are not running 5 then how do you get back out from 3/4 to 7/8 and to the White Salmon Lodge?

That's a good question, it's really a short walk from the bottom of 5 to get to the cat track access road and ski back to the bottom of chair 7. Maybe they'll have snowmobile tows to get people up that far.

Time for dad to skin-up and break out the tow rope...

Cat track has a slight uphill justpast where you usually go down to 5. 3 minutes shuffle. Then track goes across the run in and past watertower and drops off in lot. Another short shuffle to C7. Annoying but not insurmountable (better than what happens when you miss last chair on 5, for example). No magical tow-sno-mos appeared.

good time for some training imo.
