Don't lose hope! August turns shouldn't be too hard to get if you get them in earlier in the month. Think of September as "taking your skis for a long and beautiful hike", and consider making a nice overnight out of it if you like camping. And in October, pray for new snow!

This being my first year on skis and all I decided I might as well try to become a TAYer but its looking like my options for the next three months are going to be pretty limited. :-[ I guess a little extra hiking to get ready for this upcoming season isn't going to hurt me. Besides, I'm sure it snowed last night...someplace!

Anyone have recent beta on the Fryingpan or Flett? Looking to ski something other than the Paradise...
And to comment on this post... sometimes I really love taking my skis for a walk! Kinda brings us a little closer to finding whatever the hell it is we are looking for in this world. So keep your head up, and enjoy August and September! October will be fresh...

I've ridden Diamond's northwest bowl in August and it was quite good. Depends on the year though. Might be a bit lean by now. If you go, take a can of deet with you....otherwise things can get ugly.
