South Sister Beta?

Planning on heading down to Bend for the 4th of July and am going to visit Crater Lake and was thinking about heading up the South Sister. Any beta would be appreciated. Thanks!

Currently snow free about a mile up the trail from Devils Lake, able to skin from there up to the approach flats with a short carry. Standard route has a few carries required, we got tired of transitioning and booted the last 1500' or so, finding the walking better on the summer pumice trail. Managed a continuous descent by keeping to the west, there was a bony section that will be melted out soon. Overall already melted out more than desirable, snow was quite grabby but we had fun. Hot temps in the forecast thru next week.

Skied the south face of South Sister yesterday (June 27). Snow starts around 6300 ft. We skied off the summit down the southwest face all the way back to 6300 ft. From 8800 ft to 10,000 ft we booted up the pumice trail. Great day! Cheers
