voile ski crampons: keeping the nut on...

Voile ski crampons would be the ticket for me if I could keep the holding nut on the disk from coming off.  Anybody have this problem?  Have you figured out how to keep it on the bolt?  I've been using the nut with the nylon "lock" and still, it readily starts working its way off.  Maybe a dab of JB WELD? 

For other applications I've used clear nail polish - tacky enough to hold a nut on but easy to get the nut loosened when you need to.

toothpaste,.. the poor man's loctite....
