Sunrise Mine Rd was created by spresho
After a tour on Pilchuck yesterday, I headed east to check out the conditions on the Sunrise Mine Rd. The turn-off is snow free, but about 10 meters from the pavement is an 8" diameter log spanning the road about windshield high. It looked as though someone had driven underneath the high end, but my truck is too tall. I am wondering if anybody here has been beyond the log and knows how the melt out of the road is proceeding. (I saw no snow for the short bit I walked.)
Thanks.
Thanks.

Not to answer your question with a question....would a Subaru fit under? Vesper will only have so much longer....

I believe a Subaru would fit. I was driving a Ford Ranger, and it was close to fitting. I would take a bow saw to cut the lower branch to get some more room. The lower branch is only about 4" in diameter.

Cool. Thanks. I'll report back if I make it up that way.
