Access to Heliotrope is blocked approximately 2 miles up Glacier Creek Road due to a partial collapse of the road bed. Forest Service has $0 dollars for road repair apparently and does not see the road opening in the foreseeable future.

Hope no one minds this being posted in Random Tracks just wanted to make sure it got seen.

:-(

You know, I would gladly pay for my NW Forest Pass/St Helens permit (or whatever) if the money went towards keeping roads open rather than building picnic tables at trailheads or paying for voltuneers to provide safety and resource-protection messages (as in the case of MSH).

Next year might be a repeat of 2009! Too bad the Forest Service doesn't take up the offers of free road repairs (like what was offered at Canyon Creek) by those who MADE the roads!! lol.
