Vertfest Plots

Couldn't keep myself from taking a look at Vertfest times from past years. If you're thinking about picking between the race and rec divisions, the second plot may be useful.

Age is somewhat irrelevant (kudos to Lowell for keeping the 50+ crowd speedy!).  More women should consider entering the race division; plenty of women are fast-enough on the first lap to have a reasonable shot at being fast-enough on the second.  An 85-90 minute first lap looks sufficient?

Whoops - forgot to note here that the travel conditions were very different for the leaders in 2012 - lots of trailbreaking in new snow kept them bunched up. I think that's why the folks trailing the leaders went about the same speed as 2011; the trail was already broken.

I'm thinking the second lap is shorter but can't seem to find a course map anywhere. Is there one posted for this year?
