Anybody know if snow park type permits are required in Canada? Thinking of Kootenay Pass for starters..

I'm not an expert, but from what I can tell you is that I've never had to pay for a pass to park in southeastern British Columbia or Alberta. What you will need tho is passes for the National Parks
As far a Kootenay pass, it's sometimes closed for avy but there is a big parking spot with lots of space.
A really cool resource is backcountryskiingcanada.com/kootenay_pass
Rogers Pass has an extensive permit system for good reason.

Enjoy the powder highway! Lots of hotsprings too.
