Any specific examples of companies with over 25 employees who handle injury claims personally and altruistically, without regard for the long term legal ramifications in a way that 100% of injured persons are satisfied with the outcome?

the CEO of a company that treats its customers like shit when they are injured using REI-branded defective products.... great choice.

I share your "constructive contempt" realism of what the legal environment is like for businesses and especially larger corporations, Jon. To be fair, many of us were permanently changed in our view of REI by what we watched our dear friend go through. This REI member hasn't darkened their door since.

It would be interesting to learn more about this event that you all mention. Is there a link you can provide that tells that story?? Thanks.
There are firms, even large ones, that do the right thing in their Liability claims. I work in Risk Management and we have clients that do have that philosophy.
The problem more then anything else is the legal environment. That forces firms many times in to decisions they might not like, but have no choice as the alternate decision is too costly. Too costly as a result of the LEGAL system.
Certainly not here to beat up on the attorney's (I have two family members who are lawyers). It really is the system, they just play by the rules (most of the time).

These threads will explain the TAY context better than a google search:
