Should B/C movies include some decision making? was created by Edgesport
Should ski movies include more decision making segments in them so noobies get some idea of what the pro's evaluate before they jump into a line? Backcountry movies and segments show a lot of packing, some up hill travel, and a lot of face shots and exposed lines but rarely any decision making. (example:

)
I am not suggesting anything like an adult movie condom referendum but as the sports image becomes more and more ubiquitous in ads, mags, and internet shouldn't decision making segments be more prevalent? Might save some lives. Just a thought.

Yes they should. It's the honest and responsible thing to do and can make for a more interesting movie. Jeremy Jones talks about backing off from lines all the time. That is, when he's not talking about how nice it is to not be riding in helicopters any more, how much his world has expanded blah blah blah

Jones movies have it all - he is Sir Safety and Royal Night of all that is Snoly. but with so many hardware manufacturers promoting BC products, the prices on side country gear are coming down, the cost barrier to entry will soon be removed and the hords will stomp the earth. The gear will get them access and into trouble because they don't know what they don't know and that safety part wasn't in the hero snow shots they saw on Powder.com

I actually like the idea, it would be very cool to see how pros make decisions its an essential part of the backcountry ski experience.
I do like the Powderwhore films...

How do you propose they bring in their decision making? Their films are entertainment, not educational. I suggest it could be bonus footage after the credits. No need to mess with the limited narrative they use.
