Skyline Ridge at Stevens Pass. It is really easy skinning up road the entire way with nice views from the top and a fun ski down between switchbacks.

IMHO
The Number One Beginners/Geezers/Skiing wounded tour.
Given stable conditions
Start  From Paradise p lot to base of Panorama  point . Continue north to the left of Panorama point for about 500' to a small saddle overlooking Nisqually glacier. Enjoy the view and perhaps lunch/refreshments. Take skins off and ski back south and to east around the base of Panorama point to Edith Saddle. Pick a line of your beginners skill set  and ski down the ramp into Edith Basin . From there Ski back to Parking lot through Edith basin. repeat any section or try surrounding slopes as wanted. There is a variety of slopes to be had and unsurpassed views.

Enjoy!

A nice tour with a "trail" feel to it and an easy out is the less used summer trail at Crystal that starts about half way up Gold Hills, going right and passing the old mine shaft. Aesthetically, no better way up to Bear Gap although if your pushing it in deeper snow, it can be a little taxing. No switch-backing and a grade that won't overwhelm a starting tourer with some decent skiing and a return trip over to the ski-out from Silver King. Low complexity, generally safe slopes and easy down ski should characterize this tour.

<snip>skinning uphill into driving sleet. "Just a little higher, there'll be powder!" <snip>

Hmm, this reminds me of the last time I skied with you, Charlie!  :D

And indeed, there was fun powder. We just had to get some food into the going-hypothermic third party member to get up into it (and then there was Silas, who bailed quickly back to the lodge at the ski area - I hope I gain some of that wisdom as I age further).
