Blewett pass conditions was created by mtngirl
I am taking some first timers snowshoeing at Blewett Saturday (I will be on skis). Given the temps and lack of snow, I am wondering if it is pretty crusty and bulletproof up there. Anyone have a report? Thanks!

Skied up to the Lilleby trail from the upper Tronsen turnout after the Seahawk game Sunday. The snow was somewhat metamorphosed but still soft, even in the open areas. Pleasantly surprised to find that the back burning from the Table Mountain fire has much reduced the litter on the forest floor, making for easy travel through the woods. Not sure how the inversion's been treating things since but guessing things won't be hugely different on N-facing slopes. Have fun!
