Free companion rescue clinics at Hurricane Ridge:

• Friday Jan 11th w/Steve Christie from Backcountry Access
• Friday Feb 8th

This clinic will review basic companion rescue (avalanche rescue) at the AIARE Level 1 standard, allowing ample opportunity for guided practice scenarios. At both clinics we'll have some of the latest gear on hand from BCA.

Where to Meet: 10am at the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center (top of the road)

What to Bring: Warm clothes for standing around in winter weather conditions, your personal avalanche gear if you have it, and you skis, splitboard, snowshoes, etc for more realistic practice scenarios. This session will take place within walking distance of the Visitors Center. More info here .

Tomorrow, 10am at the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center. If the road opening is delayed, we'll meet as soon as everyone is able to get up the road. Send us a quick email if you plan to attend.
