Avy Probe Found in Green Valley

I skied into the trees to pee and there it was, hanging from a branch like a Christmas ornament.
Is it a sign?? An omen??

I probably saw the same one (in a blue bag), but nearly buried, almost deliberately, like somebody wanted to come back and claim it, so I left it alone and discovered it was gone when I returned to the same spot the 27th.
