So, this year, I should be getting between 500-600 back from REI on their dividend check.  Yes, I've spent a lot of cash up there this year (just moved to pnw) Still have 2 more big things to get too, argh never ends.

Anyways, Looking to pick up a set of 'resort' skis that I can do some touring with but ok if they're heavier as I already have a TLT5P setup on my k2 waybacks.

I was thinking the Sidetash with Markers touring bindings, I wanted to get something I could play some on when I get good enough to hit some decent jumps and stuff, though now I'm just starting to tinker with powder and feeling comfortable with it. But, I want your opinion from the peeps who've done it more than I.

Also, a good comfortable boot for resort skiing would be nice too!

I'm not totally familiar with the TLT series, but definitely look into wether your model is compatible with a frame binding.
If you want a resort setup that could possibly venture into the side country (for example MRNP from Crystal), I could see Dukes being a good choice, but I don't think I would grab 'em for touring.
For me, the reason to go away from a tech binding for alpine style skiing would be for true certified DIN release (which I don't think you'll get from any lugged boot), not durability, or downhill performance.
Just my 2 cents.
But I'll throw out a suggestion for fun:
BD Factor 130 boot
Fritschi Freeride bindings
K2 Obsethed skis

I think we think alike. Just got K2 Sidestash skis and will be putting Marker Barons on them. These would be too heavy for serious BC, but should be a great in area, all conditions ski and allow some side country access. If you need a high din setting, go with the Dukes.

If you want a real man's alpine ski  ;), I'll sell you my 2011, 191-cm-long, 133 mm shovel, 96 waist, 116 tail, Volkl Mantras (MSRP $825) with Marker Squire bindings for $450; I skied them 10 times, half-days, at White Pass; I replaced them with 188 Rossignol S7s and 184 Kastle LX92s--so now I have 2 skis to do the job of the one  ;D  The Mantras are super smooth, imperturbable, hold an edge like no other ski, bust the crud, and ski in (not on) the powder!  2011 Mantra review Just tuned with a 1 degree base bevel and 2 degree side bevel, hot scraped with yellow base prep wax, and final waxed with universal blue hydrocarbon wax, brushed with brass, nylon, and horse hair brushes and buffed with 2 grades of fibertex and haven't been skied yet--you will probably never in your life have such prepped ski again, unless you pay me to do a hydrocarbon-graphite wax.   8)

For a resort focused ski I would look for something a little more "fun shaped" and poppy with fairly symmetrical tip and tail rocker and decent camber underfoot. I found the Sidestashes to be rather sluggish and boring. Skis at the top of my list (in no particular order) would be:
Rossi S7
BD Amperage
Moment Bibby Pro or PB & J
ON3P Billy Goat or Caylor
Armada JJ (or AK JJ depending on your size)
Atomic Bent Chetler

I personally dislike the Barons/Dukes and am comfortable skiing Dynafits in bounds and hitting moderate drops as long as I stay out of the park and any serious moguls (why would I ever be in moguls on skis like these anyhow though?) but choose what you're most comfortable with. You will probably want to get beefier boots though - Maestrale RS or Quadrant at a minimum, maybe more like a BD Factor (110 or 130 depending on your height/weight), Garmont Mystic/Delirium, Scarpa Mobe or Dynafit Titan. I would add also that out of maybe a half dozen or 10 my friends who have Dukes, only one or two tour on them. If the Duke is going to be heavy enough to prohibit you from touring (physically or mentally) you'd be better off putting some Look PXs or Pivots on instead and getting a decent alpine boot.

Awesome, thanks for reply. I'm looking for something that I can depend on the toe piece coming out of if needed since I do want to hit some jumps and do 180/360's eventually as well as rails. And, though I haven't skied my dynafits long, I just don't have the trust in them to release when I need them on that or possibly pre-release when doing this.

I do have a pair of Scarpa Spirit 4's I can use, but wanted something a bit more comfy than a real touring setup. I just wanted something I could throw a used pair of skins on, take a 15-30 min hike on at the resort (Pineapple Pass) etc.. and get some fun skiing in.

I'll take a look at the ski's mentioned! Any other opinions welcome too!
