I hate to be a kill joy but feeding wild animals is a death sentence for the animals. Human food messes up their digestive track and they end up having difficulty digesting food.

We always called them camp robbers growing up. One of the little bastards flew right into the truck as we were gearing up for the Tatoosh on Sunday. Then he couldn't find his way back out. Not the brightest bird in the tree.

Another camp robber is Clark's nutcracker, which looks similar to a gray jay, but which are far less common around Paradise.

I usually feed them trail mix at baker. That shouldn't harm them right?
