Rogers Pass Hotel shut down....

It would seem from first hand reports that the (in)famous hotel at the summit of Rogers Pass has been shut down.  Boarded up and condenmed is the word on the street.  No more clicking out of your skiis and walking to your room after a day up Connuaght Creek.

Bed bugs may have been a factor -- clearing an infected hotel and replacing all the furniture and bedding would require significant new investment.

beware! during a two night in Jan 2012 multiple bites, staff disregarded and told me it took bites two weeks to present so it couldn't have been from their hotel. Took them to the room and showed them one of the now dead bugs and the blood smears from bites while I was asleep and they refused to acknowledge it was their problem. Avoid if possible until further notice!

Old news, but not good news.

Alas, alack. Had only slightly more charm than a Motel 6 crossed with the hotel from The Shining, and "enhanced" by the sport of getting away with in-room cooking, but it was never about the accommodations.....location, location, location. RIP.
