Repair ski tops was created by Chamois
My older BD crossbows are a laminate top. The newer Combacks are some heavy plastic and apparntely during my less-than-stellar technique in deep snow I ran over one ski with the other an made a slice in the plactic - ouch.

Suggestions for repair? At home or leave it to a professional? Who? If left alone I imagine it will only get worse and be a site for water entry. Thanks.

When I get any serious gouge in my top sheet, I simply fill it with epoxy.  May not be the most sano job but if there is a risk of water intrusion it is an effective fix.  Not only that but what skier doesn't have some epoxy around the house.

get a couple metal scrapers and a couple c clamps, create a dam out of painters tape, pour in the epoxy clamp it up and wait. Once its hardened, take it down with a file. Thats my advice.
