Just wanted to add some more thoughts here. For anyone really wanting to see what Google has in its index, all it takes is a little GoogleFu. In the search box you simply type in:
site:www.turns-all-year.com

Then you will be looking at everything they have indexed.
Here is a pre-populated SERP giving you the same example:
www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awww.turns-all-year.com

It's easy to search for something using the site as a starting point, just add what you are looking for to the end:
site:www.turns-all-year.com Marcus
i.e. www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awww.turns-all-year.com+Marcus

Anyway, Marcus, I'm a sysadmin with a lot of experience in SEO too. P.M. if you want me to help out in any capacity, I'd love to help.

Awesome, thanks -- my school quarter is winding down in the next few weeks, I'm hoping to get more time to look into this in early December. From what I can tell, the Trip Reports/forum area is mostly not indexed. Google Webmaster's index status shows that the site went from 60,000+ indexed pages last January to a low of 2400 pages or so in April/May and has been at that level since. The index request I submitted last week hasn't produced any increase yet, but I'm not sure how fast/effective that would be anyway...
