Zap's Great News!

On Tuesday of this week Zap had the 3 month follow-up test for his pulmonary vein stents.  It showed that there has been no renarrowing of the veins!  Yeah!  That means no more tests until next July, one year out from the procedure at Mayo Clinic.  Because there was a 50% chance that the procedure would have to be redone because the stents hadn’t worked, the last several weeks have been a time of high anxiety.  It’s like a huge burden has been lifted off our, and especially Zap’s, shoulders.  Tears of relief, tears of joy!

It’s going to be ski season pretty soon, and Zap can hardly wait to get out on the snow.   We’ll be moving at a slower pace than previously, but he/we’ll be out there!  He has continued to work at getting stronger, doing his PT/OT exercises at home and taking classes in strength training and agility, and is looking forward to seeing you out on the slopes.
