Ditto as well.
According to hotline nothing is restricted. But it was a few weeks old. Assuming if there was any change, the message would be updated. Which states travel is allowed. So unless I hear differently on here, I will have to go with that assumption and hope for the best.

Cool, I logged on just to ask this very question. Nice to know ahead of time when they call in an airstrike on your ridgeline.

I LOVE it when we're all on the same page. Long convo with Bram (Snow Safety Director) on that very subject today, and I also spoke with quite a few skinners. We're lettin you have it for one more weekend even though you know the hazard is on the rise. We will likely shut the uphill in the area down next week, do some bombing and start setting up the hill for anticipated opening next weekend. Great snow levels so far have given us the DEEP up high so when we do open the hill it might be able to handle the expected impact. Are we all just junkies of the snow? Anyway, the other half of the equation is Snoqualmie Mtn Howitzer targeting. $tim and I really need to get this accomplished and we are still hoping to do so prior to enough snow for real skiing on that side. Today proved we missed that window. If we get a day next week we will shoot. If not, we may be held back to waiting for a fine Monday, which could take all damn year. THANKS SO MUCH for all the cooperation we have gotten with both the uphill travel side and the Snoqualmie Mtn mission. You all are highly valued in passing the intel, and helping to advise the newbies. None of us want to see another pre / or early season accident that could be avoided by heads-up travel and always wearing the thinking tuque. Watch for the uphill travel signs, check out the sign in Lot 1 - and I will update the hotline phone when we know what we're doing. I hope we can maybe pull it off next Monday or Tuesday. -/G

Wow, glad we left it open for uphill this weekend - SO MANY taking advantage. That being said, I have really seen some bozo route choices today. Everyone please remember that Alpental has had NO avalanche control work done yet this fall, a good sliding layer is deeply buried and it's getting more of a load all the time. Travel choices are your #1 way of staying out of trouble. OK - Off the soapbox, I just have strong feelings about our this place. Next,... Tuesday looks like a real chance at getting the Howitzer targeting in so please watch for the signs and call the hotline before thinking about travel on the SW slopes of Snoqualmie Mountain. VERY good chance we will start avalanche control work next week as well, so I anticipate Sunday being the last day for uphill travel at Alpental unless we are open for business and you contact patrol for an approved route prior to starting up the hill. That is the normal winter uphill requirement. Thanks, and safe travel. /G
