Intuition Liners was created by Edgesport
Anyone prefer the tongue to the wrap?  Anyone have success molding at home?  Are there any shops in PDX who thermo-mold Intuition liners?

Thanks,

I always mold at home. It's quite simple really. Convection oven is my weapon of choice, but some people try to get fancy with a hot bag of water or rice or something.

Wrap for downhill, tongue for touring.

I prefer the "wrap" style -- reduces "shin-bang"

I've had good results with "home-baking" I started out using the method described here:

More recently I've used the "rice bag" method -- which has less concern about overcooking the liners.

The dreamliner got good reviews around the net and I like the self molding technology and I like the lacing option of the Tongue style liners but I am concerned about stiffness. The Alpine and Powerwrap are the other options I am considering.

I have the Garmont Axon. One of the stiffer AT boots. Kind of the best of both worlds in an AT boot but it adds some weight to get it. The Garmont liners were great for year one and two but they pretty much wore out last year and I need to find a liner that won't soften the boot. The Garmont liner has a plate built into the tongue that may or may not be integrated into the stiffness of the design I don't know.

Anyone else have Axon's with replacement liners? I have read some good reviews on the powerwrap and the axon on tetongravity but thought I'd give this community more information about my setup and see what comes of it.

Thanks everyone - my new Hi5's are on the way... couldn't be more excited!

Problem solved. I had never used laces on my Garmont liners. I put laces on and magically my problems went away and without any limit in range of motion... that is what I was told would happen if I used laces. If your convinced your liners are shot and haven't ever laced them up. Try that before dropping the dime on new ones.

How do i know if I have the right "convection oven"? My girlfiends microwave says convection oven but I'm guessing this is not what we are talking about for moldable linners..or am I wrong.

My oven is gas and have no idea if it is a convection over..
